Emeryville,
CA - Nady Audio, Nady Systems' expanding
line of audio gear, recently added three new tube microphone preamps-the
TMP-1 single channel model, the TMP-2 dual channel model,
and the TMP-3 Tube Channel preamp with equalizer and compressor.
The TMP Series represents the most affordable, high performance tube mic
preamplifiers available. Both the TMP-1 and TMP-2 are housed in single space racks (1RU) and are loaded with professional features designed for use in a variety of recording applications. Both models can be used either as mic preamps or instrument direct boxes for acoustic and bass guitars or keyboards and synthesizers. The TMP-1 is a mono tube preamp; the TMP-2 consists of two independent TMP-1 preamps side by side. Both models have hand-selected 12AX7A vacuum tube circuitry, selectable output limiter circuitry, convenient analog VU meter, variable input and output gain controls, +48 phantom power switch, phase reversal switch, servo-balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" TS inputs and outputs, and shielded internal dual regulated power supply. The TMP-3 is a versatile single rack unit with a tube mic preamp, EQ section and compressor. With a smooth, warm tube sound and superior clarity and transparency, the TMP-3 is also loaded with professional features: a full complement of controls including switchable +30dB gain, 180° I/O phase reversal, +48 phantom power, and a gain pot with clip LED indicator selecting proper incoming signal level; 3-band EQ section with low and high shelving filters and sweepable mids; output level control for adjusting overall volume from the main outputs; natural sounding optical compressor section with threshold and ratio controls; VU gain reduction meter for monitoring amount of signal compression; rear panel 1/4" TRS side chain I/O jack; in/out bypass switch; and servo-balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" TS input/output jacks. "Nady's new tube mic preamps are a welcome addition to our rapidly expanding rack gear line;" commented John Nady, President of Nady Systems. "They represent great value and performance and have so many state-of-the-art features that we think they'll be widely used for a broad range of professional, home, and project recording applications." The Nady TMP Series will be available in late Spring 2002. |
