Emeryville,
CA Ð Nady Audio, Nady Systems' expanding line of audio gear, recently
introduced two new studio monitorsthe SM-120 and the SM-250A. Both
models offer exceptional quality, ultra-detailed sound, solid construction
and unparalleled affordability. The SM-120 passive monitor is a full-range, 2-way studio monitor speaker with 6.5" shielded woofers and 1" Ferro fluid-cooled, soft-dome shielded tweeters. It is rated at 120W peak power. The SM-250A is an active, full-range, 2-way studio monitor speaker with 6.5" shielded woofer, 1" Ferro fluid-cooled, soft-dome shielded tweeter and built-in 100W bi-amped power. This model is bass-reflex loaded with 2" tuned cylindrical port for optimized linear bass response. Both monitors highlight clear, transparent sound and full linear frequency response for perfectly balanced mixes that translate accurately to other systems. The cabinets feature a curved front baffle for reduced high frequency diffraction and excellent imaging, not possible with conventional square-edged baffles. The heavy-duty cabinet construction offers increased structural integrity and stiffness for clean, articulate performance even at high SPL levels. Gold-plated binding posts for easy hookup to banana plugs, spade connectors or bare wires (SM-120) provide added convenience and practicality. "Our new studio monitors offer great value and versatility," commented John Nady, President of Nady Systems. "Their crystal clarity and sharp, fine edge are exactly what's needed in the studio, and their detail, range and balance are remarkable." The SM-120 and SM-250A will be available in Spring, 2003.
