Nady Introduces Ribbon Studio Microphone

Emeryville, CA — Nady Systems recently announced the introduction of its new ribbon studio microphone, the RSM-2. The RSM-2 offers the uncompromised sound of a classic ribbon (velocity) mic at a fraction of the cost — it's the first affordably priced ribbon microphone available on the market.

The RSM-2 features a vintage 2-inch long, 2-micron thick aluminum ribbon design and characteristic "large, mellow" ribbon audio reproduction with smooth, natural low and high ends, ultra-high 165 dB SPL capability, unmatched transient response and overall exceptional realism. The mic has a figure-8 audio pickup pattern and is built of rugged, turned brass construction. The RSM-2 is available with either a platinum or gold finish grill and each mic is supplied with a soft, padded carrying/storage case.

"We're quite proud of our RSM-2, and I have to say it's attracting a lot of attention given its stunning good looks and performance," commented John Nady, President and CEO of Nady Systems. "I dare say Bing Crosby himself would have been thrilled to use this mic, and studio buffs everywhere will welcome the opportunity to recreate the classic warmth and natural sound of days gone by with this new-age, high-tech unit."

The RSM-2 will begin shipping in May, 2004.
