Emeryville, CA--Nady Systems continues its long tradition of wireless innovation with the recent introduction of the IRW Series--two new wireless microphone systems and a portable PA system utilizing revolutionary new state-of-the-art infrared technology. Designed specifically for small space applications, these new models represent a very effective alternative to RF wireless mics, particularly for situations in which RF congestion or privacy issues are a concern. The IRW Series microphones include the IRW-210, with a single channel receiver and transmitter, and the IRW-220, with dual channel receivers and two transmitters. The IRW-1PA is a single channel 20W portable PA system. All models are available with optional handheld or bodypack lavalier / headset transmitters and offer high quality audio and solid reception suitable for all speaking and most singing applications. Since infrared won't transmit through walls, any number of units can be used in the same building without the interference often experienced in multiple RF (VHF and/or UHF) wireless mic set-ups. "Our new IRW Series represents a breakthrough in high performance / affordable IR technology," commented John Nady, President and founder of Nady Systems. "The response so far to these units has been extremely positive and we think they will fill an important niche, particularly for classroom, church, and small auditorium applications. Given increasingly crowded RF bands and potential interference issues related to VHF and UHF, infrared offers a very attractive alternative. Nady has always prided itself on being the value leader, and with our IRW systems we look forward to continuing this tradition." Product will begin shipping in the second quarter of 2000. |
